When is the R.S.V.P. deadline? Our R.S.V.P. deadline is September 30th.
Can I bring my child/my friend/etc.? Everyone included in your invitation has been mentioned by name, unless noted otherwise. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Is there a dress code? Any requested dress codes are outlined on the Festivities card included in your invitation.
Will I be allowed to take photos during the ceremony? To be honest, we will be too busy basking in the joy of true, evelasting love to care if you have your phone out. We trust our guests to make mature desicions that are respectful to those around them.
What are accomodations at the Resort like? All available information is listed above, as well as in the brochure included in your invitation; but for those who wish to investigate further, Full Moon Resort is listed on Airbnb, which we have linked here.
Will I need transportation from my on-site lodging to the venue, and vice versa? Included in your invitation is a map of the Resort; any lodging *below* Route 47 is safely walkable. For those more adventerous, both the Morningstar Lodge and Mountain Sky Cottages are walkable, but would require crossing Route 47, which is a public road without a crosswalk. Anything outside of these locations would require car transportation.
I am flying in – how do I get to the venue? Relative to major airports, our venue is located: A 1.25 hour drive from Stewart International Airport, a 2 hour drive from Newark Liberty International Airport, and a 2.5 hour drive from John F. Kennedy International and LaGuarida Airports. If you are traveling from the Nashville area, direct flights will only fly into NYC area airports. After flying in, we would reccomend renting a car and carpooling out to the Resort.
I am driving in – how do I get to the venue? If you are traveling from NYC or the NYC metro area, we reccomend taking I-87 for the most efficient drive, or taking 202 to 9W for the most scenic. More specific directions can be found here. If you’re looking to make a day out of your travels, we’ve put together a map with things to see, do, and eat on your way up here. If you are driving from anywhere south of I-80, we have a map for you as well, here.
I will only be attending the day-of festivities. When should I arrive at the venue? Please plan to arrive no later than 3:30 pm. Weather can be unpredictable, and the final 10 to 15 minutes of your drive will be without internet access due, so we ask that you please allocate extra time – just in case. The ceremony will begin promptly (or as promptly as we can home!) at 4:00 pm. Please note, it is venue policy that anyone attending any post-reception festivities (past 10:00 pm) either carpool/rideshare home or stay at the venue overnight.
I have a food allergy/restriction (i.e. Vegan, Kosher, Gluten Free/Celiac, etc.) Are you able to accomodate me? Of course! Please note any allergies, etc. for your party while filling out your R.S.V.P. card.
I will be arriving on Sunday. How early can I check in? Thank you for choosing to spend the weekend with us! Check-in begins at [BLANK] on Sunday, unless we have personally informed you otherwise.
Will I need to bring cash for whatever reason? If you are staying on-site, you may want to bring cash in case of any minor emergencies; there is a small store at the Resort for any last-minute toiletries, small snacks, and so on. Otherwise, you will not need to pay for anything else. We reccomend packing thoroughly, and stopping by a convenience or grocery store on the way up for any in-room snacks you may want to keep on hand.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? The average temperature in Big Indian during the month of December is 26°F. As beautiful as Winter in the Catskills is, we will be having all activities indoors. However, there will be (more or less) substantial (2-5 minute walks) outdoor traveling from venue to venue, so please pack appropriate outerwear!
Would it be a good idea if I proposed/announced my pregnancy/etc. during the wedding or any wedding-related events? We love love! But no, that wouldn’t be a good idea. Thanks!
How did you two meet? It’s impolite to be so nosy. Just kidding! You can read all about it here.
